Biography: Wan Nordin Wan Hussin is Professor of Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance. He completed the CPA (Australia) professional programme and was admitted as a full member in 1994. Before joining the academia, he worked for three years as a credit controller in Shell Group of Companies in Malaysia and was a cost accountant at Motorola Penang. His research manuscripts have been published in various academic journals, including ISI-indexed and ABDC A-ranked journals such as Ecological Indicators (2013), The Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics (2013) and The International Journal of Accounting (2009). One of his articles was designated the First Prize Winner in the Financial Accounting and Reporting Category of the 3rd Malaysian Outstanding Research Paper in Accounting Award (MORPA 2009), and Emerald Literati Network Outstanding Paper Award 2011. He has also won research grants from the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER), CPA Australia and Malaysian Accounting Research and Education Foundation (MAREF). He is an ad-hoc reviewer for Asia-Pacific Financial Markets, Emerging Market Finance and Trade, International Journal of Auditing, Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics, Journal of International Accounting Research and The Accounting Forum. He was Visiting Scholar at City University Hong Kong (2004) and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2008) and seconded to Prince Sultan University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2006-2007. He received the UUM Excellence Service Award in 2006 and 2012 and Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia for 25-year service in UUM in 2015.
