Biography: Faridahwati Mohd Shamsudin is Associate Professor of Human Resource Management. She is currently Director of Accreditation, Rankings and Reputation Management and advises the Corporate Executive Education. She has successfully supervised doctoral and master’s students in the area of human resource management and organisational behaviour. She contributes articles for publications in various local and international journals in her areas of interest. She is occasionally invited to review manuscripts for a number of journals such as Jurnal Pengurusan, Malaysian Management Journal, International Journal of Management Studies, and Asian Academy of Management Journal. To acknowledge her contribution to Universiti Utara Malaysia, she received the excellence service award in 1996 and 2008. She has also bagged twice the Best Paper Award in National Human Resource Conference organised by Universiti Utara Malaysia, and the Best Article in Humanities and Social Sciences organised by the Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysia (MAPIM) or the Malaysian Council for Scholarly Publication. She just came back from a three-year secondment at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman for a different cultural experience.
