BiographySahar E-Vahdati is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting and Finance Department at Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), University Utara Malaysia. She received her Ph.D. in Accounting from University Malaya (UM). Sahar is currently supervising four Ph.D./DBA candidates and two MBA students. She is an active researcher. Her research manuscripts have been published in various academic journals, and conference papers including ISI-indexed and ABDC, Scopus, and ABS rankings. One of her articles was designated for the consolidation prize and merit award from MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accounting) in 2015. She has also won an international research grant from Sumitomo Foundation Japan in 2019 for her research proposal (below 10% of research proposals around the world could get acceptance). Sahar has reviewed many manuscripts for Scopus-indexed journals, ABS and ABDC journals such as Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, Sustainability, Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration, Asian Journal of Accounting and Finance(AJAG), Asian Academy of Management, Global Business Management Review (GBMR), Indonesian Journal of Sustainability Accounting and Management(IJSAM). Before joining the School, Sahar was a senior researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Accountancy at UM University for four years. She has also conducted training on Thomson Reuter’s database, Eikon, and research tools to graduate and undergraduate students.
