Dr. Marlin Marissa Malek is a senior lecturer and a Resident Faculty at Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is also the Director, Student Experience & Customer Care at OYAGSB. She holds a Ph.D from Aston University, United Kingdom. She teaches postgraduate courses which include Cross-Cultural Management, International Business and Seminar in International Business. Dr.Marlin has published many articles in international refereed journals. Among the notable ones are Journal of World Business and International Journal of Human Resource Management. Her researches are mainly in cross-cultural management, international human resource management, generational diversity and international business management areas. She is currently supervising several Ph.D and DBA students. Dr. Marlin is a certified HRDF Trainer and her areas of training expertise are generational differences, diversity management, cross cultural management and ‘Train-the-Trainer’. Dr. Marlin has helped to develop training contents for training collaborations with a number of foreign universities such as Cambridge Judge Business School, Kellogg School of Management and Michigan State University. Dr. Marlin has received the UUM's excellence service award in 2005 and 2013. Dr. Marlin is also an avid sportswoman and represents UUM in athletics at the inter university games and plays futsal and volleyball in the UUM's inter staff game.
