RENEWAL OF REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS: FIRST SEMESTER SEPTEMBER 2017/2018 SESSION (SEPTEMBER 2017) UUM SINTOK

TO ALL RETURNING STUDENTS

Dear Sir/Madam

RENEWAL OF REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS: FIRST SEMESTER SEPTEMBER 2017/2018 SESSION (SEPTEMBER 2017)

According to the University Rules and Regulations for Postgraduate Studies, candidates must register and pay the current fees within the first two (2) weeks of the commencement of the semester.

New semester and course registration can be done online via UUM portal. Students who fail to settle any outstanding amount due will not be able to access the registration system. Thus, candidates are advised to make the payment at least seven (7) days before the registration date. Registration system and student’s accounts can be accessed from http://portal.uum.edu.my.

Students are advised to strictly follow the dates below for registration purposes:

06th September to 24th September 2017 : Registration for new semester (Activate student’s status)
06th September to 24th September 2017 : Registration of courses (add and drop period)
08th October 2017                                    : Last day for students to settle payment of fees for the current Semester.

Please take note that students who do not register within the stipulated time without prior approval from the Dean of OYAGSB to defer the registration, can have their studies terminated.

Please be advised that the amount of tuition fees charged for this semester is subject to the number of courses registered and other recurring fees due. The University reserves the right to charge a penalty of RM200.00 if the full amount of fees is not settled by 8th October 2017.

Latest information about the registration, academic calendar and schedule of classes are obtainable from the website http://www.oyagsb.uum.edu.my.

Please ignore this letter if you have completed the programme of study and have fulfilled all the requirements for graduation.

Pre-Requisite Intensive Mode (A171)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

PRE-REQUISITE COURSES BY INTENSIVE MODE FOR

PhD/D.Mgmt/MSc (by Research) STUDENTS

 

Dear PhD/D.Mgmt/MSc (by Research) Students,

INTENSIVE MODE AT UUM KUALA LUMPUR

The Management of UUM has agreed to offer pre-requisite courses (Academic Writing (4 credit hours) and Research Methodology (4 credit hours)) by intensive mode in the Second Semester (A171) of 2017/2018 Session (September 2017) for UUM students. However, courses will only commence if minimum of ten (10) students registered.

For courses offered by intensive mode in UUM Kuala Lumpur, students will have to attend lectures for three (3) classes. Please refer to the schedule below:

FEE FOR PRE-REQUISITE COURSES BY INTENSIVE MODE

Students who register for Intensive mode will be charged a fee at the following rates:

 

INTENSIVE MODE AT UUM KUALA LUMPUR

  • Malaysian: RM700/credit
  • ASEAN country: RM800/credit
  • Non-ASEAN Country: RM900/credit

 

Students interested to take the pre-requisite courses by intensive mode are required to register by filling in the registration form and submit to a.tarmizi@uum.edu.my or at OYAGSB counter before 16 September 2017. For any inquiries please contact Mr. Ahmad Termizi Othman at 049287122.
