TO ALL RETURNING STUDENTS

Dear Sir/Madam

RENEWAL OF REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS: FIRST SEMESTER 2014/2015 SESSION

According to the University Rules and Regulations for Postgraduate Studies, candidates must register and pay the current fees within the first two (2) weeks of the commencement of the semester.

New semester and course registration can be done online via UUM portal. Students who fail to settle any outstanding amount due will not be able to access the registration system. Thus, candidates are advised to make the payment at least seven (7) days before the registration date. Registration system and student’s accounts can be accessed from http://umis.uum.edu.my.

Students are advised to strictly follow the dates below for registration purposes:

 3rd September to 21th September 2014 :               Registration for new semester (Activate student’s status)
 3rd September to 21th September 2014  :               Registration of courses (add and drop period)
 7th October 2014    :               Last day for students to settle payment of fees for the current Semester.

Please be advised that the amount of tuition fees charged for this semester is subject to the number of courses registered and other recurring fees due.

University reserves the right to automatically deactivate student’s status and to drop all registered courses if the full amount of fees charged is not settled by 7th October 2014. Students are strictly advised to apply for deferment of study if they could not settle the fees within the stipulated period. Students who are not active after two (2) weeks of the commencement of the semester will have their studies terminated.

Latest information about the registration, academic calendar and schedule of classes are obtainable from the website http://www.oyagsb.uum.edu.my.

Please ignore this letter if you have completed the programme of study and have fulfilled all the requirements for graduation.

Students who do not yet have a student card shall go directly to the Counter Unit of Postgraduate Services, Student Affairs Department, UUM Sintok. All enquiries should be directed to the Welfare Unit of Postgraduate Services, Student Affairs Department at 04-928408/4084/4085.

Students who are not able to personally get the student card can authorise other students by filling and submitting the Authorization Form of Discount Card 1Malaysia.  [ Download Authorization Form ] <----- Click Here

The student card can be obtained from the Main Office of OYA Graduate School of Business, by 30/9/2014 the latest.

Dear students,

Please be informed that School of Accountancy (SOA) will conduct intensive course for the prerequisite courses for the PhD and MSc by research. If you attend this course you can complete the lecture required for the courses in 6 weeks only. The course is as follows:

     Lecture period: 20 September 2015 - 21 October 2015

     Venue: School of Accountancy, UUM Sintok

     The fees are:

           Malaysian students: RM350 per credit hour (RM2800 for 2 courses)

           Asean students: RM400 per credit hour (RM3200 for 2 courses)

           Non-Asean students: RM450 per credit hour (RM3600 for 2 courses)

PRE-REQUISITE COURSES BY INTENSIVE MODE FOR

PhD/D.Mgmt/MSc (by Research) STUDENTS

Dear PhD/D.Mgmt/MSc (by Research) Students,

INTENSIVE MODE AT UUM KUALA LUMPUR

The Management of UUM has agreed to offer pre-requisite courses (Academic Writing (4 credit hours) and Research Methodology (4 credit hours)) by intensive mode in the First Semester (A151) of 2015/2016 Session (September 2015) for UUM students. However, courses will only commence if minimum of ten (10) students registered.

For courses offered by intensive mode in UUM Kuala Lumpur, students will have to attend lectures for three (3) classes. Please refer to the schedule below:

  • ASEAN country: RM800/credit
  • Non-ASEAN Country: RM900/credit
