OYAGSB VIRTUAL DOCTORAL SYMPOSIUM CANDIDATES

UUM ONLINE: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) successfully held its first virtual Doctoral Symposium on Monday, 13 April. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the symposium was held completely online.

The virtual event which was held on WebEx video conference platform witnessed five doctoral candidates presenting their research ideas to an audience comprising a panel of reviewers, faculty members and students.

Dean of OYAGSB, Prof Dr. Shahizan Hassan expressed his elation as the online symposium went well as planned. “Despite the COVID-19 issue, the academic activities of our PhD students will not be disrupted as we are now fully utilizing technology to move forward. Not only are symposiums conducted remotely, other activities such as research proposal defense, viva voce and pre-requisite classes will all be conducted virtually”.

As the future remains uncertain, events such as this will definitely give us a little something to look forward to.
