UUM ONLINE:Kuala Lumpur - The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) is proud to welcome back its distinguished alumni to the OYAGSB BIZTALK series to promote experiential student learning that connects academic lectures with industry.

National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid recently shared key insights on PTPTN's global strategic marketing and competitive analysis.

He shares how PTPTN successfully positions its strong brand presence in the eyes and minds of its target customers through various means.

Since its inception in 1997, PTPTN has worked tirelessly to ensure that students have unfettered access to higher education by removing all financial barriers.

"Besides its core function of providing education loans, PTPTN has expanded its portfolio to include a savings programme aimed at instilling a culture of financial prudence in Malaysians from a young age," said Mr. Ahmad Dasuki, OYAGSB MBA alumni.

He said, the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) not only encourages savings but also offers tax incentives, making it an attractive government-backed option.

PTPTN has placed great emphasis on internal collaboration to ensure consistent adherence to brand guidelines and effective communication.

Looking ahead, PTPTN aims to improve its operations by implementing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that will streamline key functions such as marketing, sales and customer service.

This OYAGSB BIZTALK attracted many participants, including students from the OYAGSB DBA programme who took the BDMM 8033 Global Strategic Marketing and Competitive Analysis course through the Webex online platform and OYAGSB FB Live, recently.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation, and Corporate Relations at OYAGSB, Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki, said the sharing session supports The Malaysian Education Plan 2015-2025 (Higher Education), which emphasises the need to take university-industry collaboration to the next level by enabling the latter to lead curriculum design and delivery through partnership models such as apprenticeships, practical training, real-life simulations and special training programmes for employers.
