UUM ONLINE:The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme offered by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has been acknowledged as the number one programme in terms of the Entrepreneurship & Alumni Achievement indicator among universities in Malaysia.
According to the recently released QS Global MBA Rankings 2024, the MBA programme at UUM has achieved an excellent ranking in terms of Nation Diversity and Student & Staff Gender Equality indicators, surpassing other universities in the country.
In fact, at the Asian level, UUM has achieved a notable ranking, securing the 28th position within the 151-200 group globally. This represents an improvement from the previous edition, where UUM was placed within the 201-250 range.
The ranking is determined by five indicators, which include class and faculty diversity, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, return on investment, thought leadership and employability.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Foad Sakdan has announced that UUM’s MBA programme has achieved significant progress within a three-year period starting in 2021. The programme has successfully advanced more than 50 positions and is now ranked in the 151-200 range of the best Global MBA programmes in the world.
According to him, this success can be attributed to the successful implementation of UUM's strategic plan along with enhancements in areas such as graduates' marketability, leadership skills and return on investment (ROI).
"In addition, the significant increase in all indicators also strengthens the reputation of the UUM MBA programme as a superior school in the field of business and management.
"Well done, and congratulations to all the denizens of UUM for the achievement and unwavering commitment that have enabled us to establish an outstanding standing on the global stage. A special recognition is extended to the staff at OYAGSB," he said.
