Sabariah Yaakub is Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Operations Management. She is a Chartered Manager with CMI, United Kingdom. Her works on supply chain management and logistics-related area have been published in Scopus-indexed journals such as IEEE Explore, International Review of Management and Marketing, Asian Journal of Business and Accounting, International Journal of Business and Society, as well as other peer-reviewed journals such as Australian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, International Journal of Business, Economics and Law, and South East Asia Journal of Contemporary Business, Economics and Law. She has presented her research works in many local and international conferences. She has also written books and teaching manual as well as chapters in books on Port, Maritime and Hinterland Development in Southeast Asia, International Business and Global Supply Chain Management. She has successfully supervised master’s and doctoral students in the area of logistics and international business and is currently supervising several PhD students in the area of supply chain risk management, cross-cultural management and port security. Sabariah is also involved in several research projects, training activities, and consultancies with national agencies such as the Technology Depository Agency, Malaysian Qualification Agency. Before joining the academia, she worked in several companies such as Parkson Grand Sdn Bhd, Avon Cosmetics (M) Sdn Bhd, and Maybank Berhad as marketing officer and trade finance officer.
